Croissants

I felt rather accomplished when I made these, so I decided to post them!

I changed the flour that I used so they turned out a little differently, but they still tasted wonderful!

White Skirt

I made my own pattern for this, using a solid white and a white-on-white print!



There are eight panels, four of each and a little waist band.

Burgundy Velvet Shirt

I love wearing velvet; it's so dressy and makes me feel classy! However, I can't wear a velvet ball gown every day and I don't want to stain it so that I can't use it again, so I made this! :D




I'm not sure how old the lace is, but it is very soft which I think is a sign that it's older as I have trouble finding soft lace these days that is brand knew!



I used this pattern again and lengthened the sleeves as much as possible, but I only had a yard to work with, so they aren't as long as I would have liked.

Black and White Shirt

I don't make shirts all that often, but I saw this pattern and had to make it.

I made one with a collar, but it didn't look good, so my sister changed it to a round neck and did the button holes for me. I love wearing it and will probably make it again sometime!

Retro Dress

I made this dress last summer using a vintage pattern.

The pattern fit as is, so the only alteration I made was to add little cap sleeves. However, the pattern has you put the zipper in the side and cut into the fabric to do so. I would definitely change that if I were to make the pattern again.

Little Card Creations

I made these cards after watching a video on how to make much more elaborate ones, but I decided to make them simpler, unfortunately I can't remember where I saw the video.



I printed the pictures off the computer and glued them to the paper; I also had to glue the ribbon because it kept slipping.

I still haven't used them, but some day I will. ;D

Ball Gown

My sisters and I attended an Old South Fall ball while on a vacation in West Virginia visiting friends. We all made our own dresses, but the oldest girls helped decide what designs to do. I used a retro pattern and added the ruffle. When I bought the pattern I didn't expect to ever use it but I really liked it. I've used it four times now and my sister has used it once(making something for me, love ya sis;) ). Here is my dress!

I made the top and ruffle out of velvet and I'm not certain but I think the skirt is cotton.

My sister lent me her pair of shoes and they looked perfect, they were black velvet with two strips of fabric at the top that matched the skirt perfectly!

Baby Dresses

I made this baby dress from my own pattern, but I got the idea of the wavy skirt from a book.

Front:

I used one of my moms baby dresses as a inspiration to make this, it's from the 1950's and the hardest part was the pleats, I think there are 36 in all.

Back:

It also came with a slip, and I wanted to do it correctly, so...

Slip:

You can't see them very well but I put little flowers that I made on the sleeves, I sometimes wondered if it was worth it while doing the pleats, but once it started coming together the look was just likes moms.
